HR teams handle a huge amount of writing, screening, scheduling and explaining — exactly where AI assistants help most. They also handle personal data and decisions that affect people's livelihoods, so HR is where using AI responsibly matters most. Good training covers both.
What HR teams learn to do with AI
- Job ads and role descriptions — draft, tighten and adapt to different channels, in English or Bahasa Malaysia.
- Policy and handbook drafting — first drafts of policies, FAQs and announcements, then reviewed by a person.
- Learning and onboarding — build training outlines, quizzes and onboarding checklists from existing materials.
- Employee communication — rewrite sensitive messages in a clear, respectful tone.
- Analysis of open-ended feedback — summarise engagement survey comments into themes, with a human checking the reading.
Where HR must be careful
- Personal data. CVs, salaries and performance records are personal data under Malaysia's PDPA. Know what may be shared with which tool. See AI governance and PDPA.
- Bias in screening. AI can reproduce bias. Keep hiring and promotion decisions with people, and be able to explain how a shortlist was made.
- Accuracy. Employment-law content must be checked against current law and your own policy before use.
