Short answer: yes, AI training can be claimed through HRD Corp, as long as your company is a registered HRD Corp employer and the course you choose qualifies. Agmo Academy's programs — including the Claude Certified Architect (CCAR-F) and Claude Certified Associate (CCAO-F) workshops — are HRD Corp claimable, subject to SST.
What HRD Corp is
HRD Corp (Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad) is the Malaysian agency that collects the training levy from registered employers and lets them use that levy to fund staff training. In practice, this means the training budget your company has already paid in can cover much of the cost of upskilling your team in AI.
The usual steps
- Check your registration and levy balance. Your HR or finance team can confirm this on the HRD Corp portal.
- Choose a qualifying program. Ask the training provider whether the course is claimable and get a quotation that lists the program, dates and fees.
- Apply for the grant through HRD Corp's e-TRiS system before the training starts, using the provider's quotation and program details.
- Attend the training. Keep attendance records and the provider's invoice.
- Submit the claim with the required documents after the program ends, and wait for HRD Corp to process it.
Exact documents, deadlines and eligibility conditions are set by HRD Corp and change from time to time, so confirm them on their portal before you register.
Things worth knowing
- The employer makes the claim. Individuals who pay for a course themselves generally cannot claim it back this way.
- Exam fees (for example the Pearson VUE fee for Claude certification exams) are set by the exam provider and are separate from the workshop fee.
- Our program fees are quoted subject to SST.
- Bringing three or more colleagues from the same company on a public program qualifies for our group rate of RM3,000 per participant.
