The Anthropic Claude Partner Network is Anthropic's programme for companies that work with Claude, such as consultancies, system builders and training providers. Being listed as a member tells you a company has a relationship with Anthropic. It does not, by itself, tell you whether that company is good at the job you want done. This article explains how to read a partner claim and how to evaluate any provider on evidence.
We should be clear about what we can and cannot say. Agmo Studio is a Select Partner of the Anthropic Claude Partner Network. We are an independent company, not part of Anthropic, and we do not speak for Anthropic. We will not describe the network's internal tiers, benefits or requirements here, because those are Anthropic's to define and can change. For the programme's own terms, rely on Anthropic's published information.
What a partner badge can and cannot tell you
A badge or logo on a website is a starting point for a conversation, not a conclusion. It can reasonably suggest that the company is active in the Claude ecosystem and has engaged with Anthropic formally. It cannot tell you:
- whether the trainers or consultants are experienced in your industry;
- whether their delivery is hands-on or mostly slides;
- whether they will still support your team after the first session;
- whether their pricing, scope and paperwork suit your company.
Be equally careful with wording. A company that says it is "official" or implies it speaks for Anthropic deserves a follow-up question: official in what sense, and where is that written down? Accurate claims are specific, such as "a Select Partner of the Anthropic Claude Partner Network".
Partner membership is not the same as certification
These are separate things, and they are often confused.
- Partner network membership describes a company's relationship with Anthropic.
- Claude certifications are credentials held by individuals. They are issued by Anthropic after the candidate passes an exam.
- Exam-preparation workshops are run by training providers. They help people prepare, but they do not replace sitting the exam.
So a partner cannot award you a Claude certification. At Agmo, the certifications are issued by Anthropic, and Agmo runs exam-preparation workshops. If you want to see what the credentials cover, the comparison of Claude certifications sets out each exam, and the workshops are described on the Claude Certified Architect and Claude Certified Associate program pages.
A practical checklist for evaluating any AI training partner
Whether a provider is in a partner network or not, these questions give you better information than a logo:
- What exactly is the partner relationship? Ask the provider to state it in one precise sentence, and check the wording is not stretched.
- Who teaches, and what do they hold? Trainers who hold the credentials they teach can answer exam-level questions properly.
- How much of the course is hands-on? Ask what each participant will build or practise.
- What is the company's track record in training? Look for concrete, checkable facts rather than adjectives. Agmo Academy is the training arm of Agmo Holdings Berhad, which is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, and is an HRD Corp registered training provider.
- How is funding handled? If you plan to use your HRD Corp levy, ask who prepares the paperwork. Claimability is subject to eligibility and HRD Corp approval.
- Is the price clear? Ask whether it is per person or per company, and whether SST applies.
- What happens afterwards? Materials, practice access and follow-up matter more than the day itself.
Our longer guide, how to choose an AI training provider in Malaysia, goes through these in more detail.
Does it matter if a provider works with more than one AI vendor?
Not necessarily. Many businesses use more than one AI tool, and a provider with relationships across vendors may give more balanced advice. Agmo Studio is also a Select Partner of the OpenAI Partner Network; our training and certification focus is on Claude. OpenAI does not certify our courses. OpenAI and ChatGPT are trademarks of OpenAI. What matters is that each relationship is described accurately and that the advice you get serves your use case.
How to verify a claim yourself
If a provider tells you they are a partner, you can do three simple things. Ask for the exact wording they use and compare it with how Anthropic describes the programme. Ask what, if anything, the relationship changes for you as a customer, such as access to materials or a particular delivery model. And ask for references or examples of past work that you can check. A provider that is confident in its work will answer all three without difficulty.
Where to go next
If you are comparing options for your team, start with your goal: a recognised credential for a few people, general AI skills for a whole department, or a programme built around your own processes. Our overview of AI training in Malaysia lays out the programs, and you can read more about Agmo Academy. You can also reach us through the contact page if you want to ask how a particular option would work for your company.
